Set Design - is the creation of theatrical, as well as film or television scenery.

The scenic designer works with the above the line production and team designers to establish an overall visual concept for the production and to design the stage environment.

They are responsible for developing a complete set design of drawings that include the following:
  1. A blue print plan showing all scenic elements
  2. Composite showing all moving scenic elements, indicating both their on-stage and off-stage positions
  3. Section the stage space incorporating all elements
  4. Any elevation scenic element, in addition to movements of background & stage
